Spilat Construction Company
Spilat Company was founded in 1963 by a group of young capable and skilled Armenians as a contractor in construction of installations, technical structures, roads and bridges. In 1974 it was managed by Mr. Neshan Peroomian, graduate of Berkley University as Road & Civil Construction major and Ms. Roubina Minasian, graduate of Tehran University as Road & Civil Construction major and it was when the company started a new chapter of its activities. After the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the management was transferred to Mehran Peroomian and now with half a century experience the company is honored to be rewarded the first place in the rank of road and transportation company by the relevant department of the Presidential Office and to be named as a pioneer in the implementation of national projects. The company started its first activities outside Tehran and in other counties such as Tabriz, Kerman and Qom and since 1989 the main focus of its activities has been in road construction in Tehran and its periphery.
The main activities of Spilat co are:
- Construction of industrial complexes and factories such as Tabriz Tractor Manufacturing Company (Haxiran Dizel)
- Construction of particular building structures such as Tehran Milad Hospital
- Construction of west Tehran (Azadegan) belt road in 3 kms with relevant accesses.
- Construction of multiple interchanges in Tehran such as Chamran-Hakim highway, Abshenasan-Sattari highway and over a hundred kilometer road construction in fifty years of operation.
- Construction of 124 residential units in Valfajr township in Tehran.
- Construction of water tunnels to direct ground waters in southwest Tehran.
Considering the needs of metropolitans like Tehran to vast expressway networks, Spilat Company has been involved in a small proportion but effective role of construction of this network. Summary of major undertakings are: Construction of Chamran–Hakim interchange (section 5 of Hakim highway) including 6 bridges and the leveled expressway in between Chamran to Kurdistan highway and also construction of Abshenasan-Sattari interchange including 4 bridges which is one of the most complex interchanges in the path of Niayesh-Abshenasan expressway with all directions to facilitate transportation which is one of the most significant undertakings of the recent years.
Currently the Company is involved in construction of Lashgari-Iran Khodro Blvd. interchange; this expressway includes 4 bridges and 3 leveled highway by the end of west Tehran transit highway from Kraj Road to Iran Khodro Boulevard.
Spilat Company, in the past 50 years, has demonstrated teamwork, honesty, perseverance in construction projects and precision in its executive operation and successfully completed all project since its foundation. Spilat Company believes in honesty and subsequently has left behind structures in years which are used by the public.
Dry Walls were first used by Spilat Company in Iran in construction of Milad Hospital and then in intense molding of lower level roads which was first realized in Hakim highway over Chamran. The same method was applied to construct the leveled U-Turn over Abshenasan. The Company is also involved in the design and manufacture of particular molds for the pillars of Abshensan which was realized in collaboration with Peri German Company where S.C.C was used in construction of concrete columns which was an operational initiative and one of the most quality construction works.
The Company is capable of undertaking any civil and construction project in the country; improvement in country’s economic status to provide required funds and budgets will enable the company to take effective measures in resolving unemployment issues due to the nature of its civil activities. In the past years, companies in possession of machinery and equipment were the most successful; however, currently the companies with effective management of machinery use are perceived as successful. The Company has prioritized quality to quantity in its human resources and advocates recruitment of young workforce. In light of this, in the past years, experienced staff have worked alongside new recruits and in years have trained young experts which are the human capital of the Company. It is worth mentioning that the Company possesses a large and full quantity of machinery and equipment; has over 110 staff members involved in various management and executive departments including civil construction, facilities and project control, making sincere efforts towards development of this country.
